Emma and Spencer were set to get married in June of 2020, but due to Covid they had to push it back to October of 2021. Finally, this spring we were able to get their engagement photos scheduled and it just happened to be during the crab apple blossom season! We spent a lovely evening at Gustavus College in St. Peter capturing photos and enjoying the smell of the blossom trees.
These two have been together for 8 years and their love really shines (as seen in the photos). I cannot wait to photograph their October wedding at the Scenic Escape Barn in Henderson, MN!
It was the most beautiful day for Angela & Keith's wedding last Saturday at Bruentrup Heritage Farm in Maplewood, MN. I am so honored that they chose me to photograph their wedding day. Here is just a small gallery of my favorite images from their day.
It's crazy to think that this Sunday is Mother's Day! I had a great time hosting Mother's Day mini sessions a few weeks ago and Ritter Farm Park in Lakeville made for a beautiful backdrop! Even though they are Mother's Day sessions I did allow dad's to sneak in for a few photos. :)
The next mini sessions I will hold will be SUNFLOWER mini sessions in July/August. Please join my email list below if you want to be the first to know the details for these and future mini sessions.
Now back to Mother's Day Mini sessions - here are some of my favorite images from this event.
Tomorrow I turn 38.
I was 36 when the pandemic started, I turned 37 three days into quarantine and tomorrow I'll be 38. Thankfully, no birthday plans will be cancelled this year (I hope!).
Looking back at 2020, it was a weird year. We all know that. But when I look back on it, I am so grateful for all the time I got to spend with my family! My son was home, my husband got to be home every night for dinner and my photography business thrived. The only thing I could complain most about was that I couldn't be social. I missed my friends, going out to concerts and play dates with our kids.
As for Markina B. Photography it was an amazing year! I got to photograph so many new clients and of course, my amazing returning clients. I really don't know how I could ever express my gratitude to you all, but each and everyone of you I am so grateful for. Your business means the world me and I love seeing you all through my lens.
Since this website and blog are new, let's take a look back at a small collection of images from 2020 and reminisce.
Until next time,
