Emma and Spencer booked me March 15th, 2020 for their June 2020 wedding and then Covid hit.
They originally wanted a fall wedding and when Covid changed their plans they were lucky enough to reschedule for a fall date. Thanks goodness, because on their original wedding date the temperature reached 100 degrees here in MN. YIKES!
Fast forward to October 9th, 2021 and FINALLY the long wait was OVER! What a beautiful overcast fall day these two had. The Scenic Escape barn in Henderson was a picturesque venue for their wedding day and everything was perfect, just PERFECT!
Congratulations Emma & Spencer!
Jen and Brittany's downtown engagement session last week was on FIRE! I am so excited for their wedding in September as these two are HOOT to photograph. My assistant (Carrie) and I were laughing like crazy with these two. As we drove home Carrie said "I want to be friends with them." I couldn't agree more. Two very sweet ladies whose love for each other is undeniable.
Congrats you two!! See you in a few weeks for the BIG day!
A warm Friday morning at the Minnesota Landscape Arboretum with this family was a great way to kick off Father's Day weekend! I met Quinn, Adam, Rex and Graham a few years back when their sister booked me for an extended family session, and it has been wonderful capturing them over the last few years.
Graham is a dinosaur guru and Rex likes to catch bugs (see photo of him catching bugs). They also were a big fan of the water fountain at the arb.
I can't wait to see them again next year, I wonder if dad will still be able to throw them over his shoulders like in the photo below?
Last night with Laura and Mike was nothing short of perfect! From their outfits to the location with the icing on the cake being the weather. I didn't think that after weeks of 90+ degree days that the first day of summer would be a cool breezy 70 degrees. We lucked out!
We started our shoot down at St. Anthony Main in Minneapolis. I was so bummed to see the 3rd Ave bridge was under construction but we still got some amazing shots out on the "rock." We then made our way to the Stone Arch Bridge where it was filled with bikers, walkers & photographers (no surprise there!). After that, we walked back to my car, but made a few stops along the way. We then headed to Boom Island where Mike and Laura did a quick outfit change and we set off in the park to explore and capture more beautiful images of them.
During our session I learned more about them, their relationship and of course their wedding! They are planning a January 2022 wedding at Glenhaven Events in Farmington. It's going to be amazing and I am so excited! They were such a fun couple to photograph and their love for each other shines through in the photos. Thank you Mike and Laura for rocking your engagement session!
